If you have found my website, then you or your child might be struggling and in need of mental health support.
As a counsellor, my role is to provide a confidential, safe, and calm space where you can share your thoughts and feelings, and together, we can explore your situation. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting—it takes courage to open up to someone new about deeply personal matters.
Through building trust in the therapeutic relationship, psychotherapy services can offer you greater self-awareness and a deeper understanding of your relationships. As an integrative counsellor, I tailor my approach to suit you as an individual, drawing on techniques from various therapeutic models to address your unique needs and challenges.
**COUNSELLING FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE**
When working with children and young people, I often incorporate games, art, and other creative activities to help them feel at ease. These tools can be particularly effective, as children and adolescents can sometimes find it difficult to express their feelings or articulate their challenges through words alone. For adolescents who are comfortable with conversation, sessions may be more discussion-based, allowing us to explore their concerns in a way that feels natural to them.
My approach is always tailored to the individual. Together, we identify the root causes of their difficulties and develop strategies that suit their unique needs, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all solution.
I focus on creating a safe and supportive environment where they feel free to express themselves at their own pace. I follow a child-led approach, allowing them to guide the process. This fosters a sense of safety and trust, making it more effective than pressuring them to discuss specific issues before they are ready.
Therapy should never feel intimidating or overwhelming. It should be a welcoming, non-judgmental space where children and teenagers can explore their emotions in a way that feels manageable and comfortable. Whether through play, creativity, or conversation, my goal is to provide an environment where they can process their feelings and experiences on their own terms.

I am experienced in providing mental health support to clients who have been struggling with:

I am passionate about providing counselling for children and helping people through difficult times. I offer both face-to-face and online sessions in Henley-on-Thames.
Before training to become a counsellor, I spent years in the corporate world, where I never felt satisfied or passionate. It was through volunteering that I discovered a profound sense of joy and purpose in offering mental health support.
Having turned to counselling during a crisis in my own life and experiencing its benefits firsthand, I decided to retrain. Those years of studying were challenging but only deepened my interest in therapy. You will often find me listening to podcasts or engaging in further reading on this fascinating subject, particularly in the realm of psychotherapy services.
Currently, I work as a counsellor in a secondary school while also managing my private practice.
I have completed a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies, and a Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London.
I am fully DBS checked and hold professional indemnity insurance. I am a Registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, adhering to their ethical guidelines, codes of conduct, and best practices.
To ensure the highest standard of my work, I receive regular clinical supervision from a UKCP accredited supervisor.
